We have attended workshops in the past and felt some were more valuable than others, so we are committed to making this workshop one that is a truly helpful and encouraging platform from which to spring aspiring travel writers. The three-day, three-night New Orleans Culinary Insider workshop and travel adventure runs $850 per person.  Late registration necessitates the raising of the registration/tuition fee to $950 if participation in the New Orleans workshop is booked after midnight December 15, 2013.

Please note that a non-refundable deposit of $425 per participant is due upon registration.

The remaining balance of $425 must be paid by November 30, 2013. If the remaining balance is more than five days late, we reserve the right to sell your spot. Deposit cannot be returned.

Terms and Conditions

By agreeing to these terms, you (“Attendee”) certify that you have had a full opportunity to review this document and that you understand, accept and agree to all terms and conditions. You acknowledge and accept all risks and liabilities outlined below.


Try Travel Writing is a DBA for Schneider Communications. This agreement is between you (“Attendee”) and TRY TRAVEL WRITING.



Because space is very limited and we must book hotels and tour activities so far in advance, the customer shall pay TRY TRAVEL WRITING  a non-refundable deposit in the sum of $425 per registration. The full balance is due November 30, 2013.


Cancellation Policy

The $425 deposit is non-refundable. If the entire workshop amount has been paid and attendee must cancel, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Up to eight weeks ahead of the event: Full amount is refundable less $25 deposit.
  • Up to five weeks ahead of the event: $425 deposit plus 20% of remaining balance are non-refundable
  • Fewer than four weeks ahead of event: Entire booking is non-refundable


If the client chooses attend but to leave before the end of the workshop, for no matter what reason, Try Travel Writing will not refund the client.


If Try Travel Writing chooses to cancel the workshop for any reason, the full deposit and any monies paid toward the workshop will be refunded to the participant in full.



Try Travel Writing and its partners are committed to the safety of all its guests and attendees. Attendees must acknowledge and assume all risks involved in travel and participation in the tour and workshop. Travel during the workshop and post-tour may include travel by car, bus, taxi or foot. Attendee assumes all risks associated with transportation to, during and after the workshop and post-tour.


By agreeing to these terms and conditions, attendee(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless Try Travel Writing and its tour partners from all claims, damages, losses, injuries, and expenses resulting from participation in a workshop or tour. Attendee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Try Travel Writing and its partners in case of injury, death or transportation not covered in the itinerary due to injury, death or early departure.


With workshops outside the United States, attendee understands and acknowledges that medical care may differ from medical care in the United States.


Try Travel Writing and its partners are not responsible for any unexpected occurrences, including those rendered by weather, political conditions, local infrastructure, wildlife or acts of God.


Try Travel Writing and its partners are not responsible for the loss or damage to any attendee’s belongs. Attendees are advised that their property and person is entirely their own responsibility.


Try Travel Writing Try Travel Writing and its partners are not responsible for any loss, injury, damage or inconvenience to the property or person of the client.


You must make Try Travel Writing and its hotel property or tour partners aware at the time of booking any pre-existing medical conditions or if you are taking any required medications. Try Travel Writing and its hotel property or tour partners will not be held responsible for any health issues that arise.


Try Travel Writing is not liable for any client travel costs to workshops, including airfare, or any additional charges incurred due to travel interruptions or unforeseen circumstances. Try Travel Writing recommends that all attendees purchase travel insurance.


Workshops, Workshops and Courses

Try Travel Writing reserves the right to alter workshops and courses, as well as substitute teachers or change any workshop details without notice. Try Travel Writing and partners reserve the right to alter tour itineraries and schedules without notice.


Additional Charges

Many meals and activities are included in the price; however, not all activities are included, such as cycle hire, some transportation, beauty treatments, spa treatments, some restaurant meals and beverages and other activities. Additional charges and different booking arrangements apply. Please check with us before the activity if you have any questions.


Website and Photography

Attendees must accept that minor differences between text / photographs / illustrations in the marketing materials and on the website and the features of the actual property may arise, and Try Travel Writing and its partners cannot accept responsibility should the property or toured attractions not conform to the guest’s standards.


When you attend a Try Travel Writing or event hosted by a Try Travel Writing tour partner, you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. You consent to photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to use for promotional purposes, advertising and inclusion on websites.


Attendee agrees that the terms and conditions of this agreement shall be governed by laws of the state of Michigan,  and that any legal action resulting from attendees participation in this event shall be brought only in the state of Michigan. Attendee agrees that if Try Travel Writing is forced to defend any action, lawsuit or litigation by attendee or attendee’s executors, heirs or family, attended will pay Try Travel Writing’s costs and attorney fees if they successfully defend such action, lawsuit or litigation.


Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We will not sell your information. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used to serve your needs in accordance with this privacy statement. Information gathered is used to better understand your needs and provide you with a better service. From time to time, we may send promotional emails about special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for marketing purposes.
